Piyawan Vacharee

Bangkok · Foundation Program

I came in not knowing how to read a fund factsheet properly. Seven weeks later I actually understood what I was holding in my pension account. The sessions never felt rushed, and our teaching assistant was available whenever I had questions I wasn't ready to raise with the group.

Chaiwat Srisuk

Chiang Mai · Intermediate Program

I'd been investing casually for about eight years without any real framework. The portfolio review sessions in the intermediate program changed how I approach allocation decisions. Somchai was direct and patient — he explained RMF tax implications in a way I'd never encountered in any bank material.

Nongkran Phongpan

Bangkok · Foundation Program

What I appreciated most was that nobody tried to sell me anything. After years of attending bank seminars that always ended with product recommendations, sitting in a room where the instructor had no agenda was quite different. The workbook materials are genuinely useful — I still refer to them.

Bangkok · Senior Program

My wife and I joined the senior program after realising we'd never had a proper conversation about what would happen to our estate and charitable intentions. The family communication specialist helped us have discussions we'd been avoiding for years. The eight-person cohort made it feel safe to be honest.

Phuket · Intermediate Program

I attended online from Phuket and the experience was smooth throughout. The case discussions translated well to the video format. One thing I hadn't expected was how much I learned from the other participants — not just from the instructors. The cohort model is worth the smaller group size.

Amporn Chumsri

Bangkok · Foundation Program

I was slightly nervous about being in a group — I didn't want others to see how little I knew. The confidentiality agreement at the start made a difference. By week three the group had become quite open. I've since taken the intermediate program and would consider the senior one once the timing works.

Longer Accounts from Past Participants

Starting Point

A 46-year-old accountant from Bangkok had accumulated savings across four bank accounts but had never consolidated a clear picture of her overall financial position. She had no investment holdings and was uncertain whether her savings pace was appropriate for her age and goals.

During the Program

Over seven weeks in the Foundation program she built a complete personal financial inventory, compared savings account rates across Thai banks without product pressure, and set up a structured monthly savings schedule. Her midpoint consultation clarified her attitude toward investment risk.

Six Months Later

She enrolled in the intermediate program the following quarter. She now holds a balanced allocation across fixed-income instruments and one equity mutual fund, reviewed quarterly using the tools taught in the course. She says she reads her investment statements without confusion for the first time.

"The thing that changed most was my relationship with financial paperwork. I used to avoid it. Now I actually look forward to reviewing my statements."

Starting Point

A 61-year-old retired engineer and his wife had built up a substantial estate but had not addressed charitable intentions or the question of how their adult children would eventually manage what they left behind. Estate documents were outdated and the couple had never discussed wealth transition with their children directly.

During the Program

The thirteen-week senior program gave them access to a philanthropic advisor, an estate attorney familiar with Thai foundation law, and a family communication specialist who helped them structure several conversations with their adult children. The two in-person gatherings brought the work to a practical level.

Outcome

Estate documents updated, one charitable foundation registered with a clear mandate and governance structure, and two family meetings held with structured agendas. The follow-up correspondence in the eighteen months since has helped the couple adjust their plans as circumstances have evolved.

"We didn't realise how much we'd been postponing. The program gave us a structure and a deadline — both useful when the conversations are ones you keep finding reasons to delay."
